These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ComicShelf, a personal reading and watchlist tracking application (the "App"), developed and operated by OneIssue ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using ComicShelf on the web, mobile, or desktop, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, do not use the App.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ComicShelf for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may use ComicShelf on:

ComicShelf uses Google Sign-In for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Google account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate any person or entity. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in harmful conduct.
Your account is personal and non-transferable. Do not share your Google credentials with anyone.
You retain all rights to content you add to ComicShelf, including:

If you enable a public profile, the following information becomes visible to any signed-in ComicShelf user:

You can change your profile privacy settings at any time from Settings → Profile. Making your profile private immediately hides all above information from other users.
ComicShelf integrates with third-party services to provide content discovery and information:
ComicShelf does not own, control, or endorse the content provided by these services. Your searches and queries may be sent to these APIs to retrieve information. We are not affiliated with OMDB, AniList, Open Library, Google, or their respective publishers and studios. Your use of third-party content is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
Your data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud Firestore) and synchronized across your devices. Activity logs are automatically trimmed to the 100 most recent events per user. Cover images uploaded from third-party APIs are cached locally on your device for offline access.
Your data persists for as long as you maintain an account. You may delete individual entries at any time within the App. To delete your entire account and permanently remove all data, use Settings → Account → Delete Account. This action is irreversible and all data will be permanently deleted.
ComicShelf provides offline-first functionality. When offline, changes are queued locally and synced to the server when connectivity is restored. During offline use:

ComicShelf's design, layout, code, branding, and all original content are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our permission.
Comic, manga, anime, book, and TV show covers displayed in the App are the property of their respective publishers, studios, and copyright holders. These are used for informational purposes only under fair use.
ComicShelf is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be:

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OneIssue shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of ComicShelf, including but not limited to:
This applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.
ComicShelf allows you to export your shelf and watchlist data as JSON files. Exported data remains your property. You may import previously exported data from ComicShelf. We do not guarantee compatibility with data from other applications or from future versions of ComicShelf.
You can delete your account at any time through Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion:
We may update these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of ComicShelf after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where OneIssue operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and OneIssue regarding your use of ComicShelf and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
