ComicShelf is developed and operated by OneIssue. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the ComicShelf app, how we use it, and your rights over that information.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account name, email address, and profile photo URL. We do not receive your Google password.
We store the content you add to the app — your reading shelf entries, watchlist items, reading progress, goals, badges, and any optional profile information you set (display name, username, bio, and avatar). If you make your profile public, this information is visible to other signed-in ComicShelf users.
We also store activity events (such as adding a title or finishing a series) to power the Friends Feed feature. Activity logs are automatically trimmed to the 100 most recent events per user.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.
ComicShelf uses the following third-party services to operate:
Cover images and avatar photos you upload are stored in your browser's local storage on the device you used to upload them. They are referenced by a short key in our database but the image data itself does not leave your device.
If you enable a public profile, your display name, username, bio, avatar, shelf entries, watchlist, and reading stats will be visible to any signed-in ComicShelf user — including via a shareable link at comicshelf.online/u/your-username. You can make your profile private at any time from the Profile screen.
Your data is stored for as long as you maintain an account. You can delete individual entries at any time within the app. To request full deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we will delete it within 30 days.
ComicShelf is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of ComicShelf after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
